1 in 5 women struggle with eating disorders or disordered eating.
95% of those who have eating disorders are between the ages of 12 and 25.

There is absolutely NO SHAME in seeking counseling for an eating disorder! As a psych major in college, I learned quite a bit about eating disorders AND counseling. So much so, that I started seeing one myself! I can’t even begin to tell you how much that helped me! To be able to talk to a neutral third party who can HELP you figure out the underlying cause of your disorder is SUCH a relief… because once you figure out the deeper problems, you can begin to work on them and heal. Honestly I highly, highly recommend it! <3

My healthy baby boy!

My healthy baby boy!

Mind over matter

I’m very proud to say, last night after stepping on the scale and seeing I’m now up 20 lbs. I felt no sadness, anxiety. Nothing negative. Instead… I reflected how great I’ve felt lately!!

I’ve been walking often, and eating healthy, lots of snacks and mini meals. Big meals give me heartburn :( but hey, these are the building blocks of a great, healthy, strong life.

We found out on tuesday we are going to have a baby boy! I’m in for some trouble! I’m really excited! I can’t wait to raise a little man, and teach him healthy ways and to be active. I can’t wait to start this chapter in life!
